Gardening in New Brunswick

We will be somewhat self-catering our wedding (everything but the pig is going to be done by us or our lovely, patient, helpful families), and there are certain things that are hard to find in large quantities in the area. Fresh herbs, for instance, are not commonly used in many households. So it's actually easier to grow most of the stuff than to try to find it and buy it.
The tiller came in mid May to refresh the garden and blend up the compost giving us some nice looking soil to work with.
Here is lots of basil and some Italian parsley that has since been planted in the garden.
And here are an assortment of other herbs in terra cotta pots.
Some herbs in the garden.
And these are flowers that are going to be by the front porch. They're Monorda Cambridge Scarlets and they're supposed to grow up to four feet. In front of them are Oriental scarlet poppies.

I hope the frost doesn't get to any of them. In New Brunswick, frost can occur pretty late, so keep your fingers crossed.
